How to clean colorful shaggy rug?

Tools Required-

White Vinegar, Steam Cleaner, Vacuum Cleaner, Dry carpet shampoo, rug beater, and water.

Process-

1.       Beat and shake

For this, take the fur rug outdoors and give it a nice shake. Use a rug beater or a beam to hit the rug all over its surface area.

2.       Soak in the sun

Keep the sun in a place with bright sunlight. The rays act as an effective deodorizer and kill all the mites and bacteria.

3.       Use Vacuum Cleaner

Take the vacuum cleaner and adjust its height setting. This is done so that the moving parts of the rug do not cause any damage to the rug hairs. You can also use the vacuum on the backside of the rug.

4.       Dry Bath Method

Sprinkle some drops of dry shampoo on the surface and let it be untouched for a particular time.

5.       Steam cleaning

You need to do the steam clean if your rug is very dusty and soiled. Lay the rug on a large trap in the garden or your backyard. Take the steam clean and run it all over the surface area. Leave the rug in the open to dry, once the cleaning is done.

6.       Washing

If your rug remains dusty after following the above steps, it might need a wash. Mix the detergent with the rug in the washing machine. Take care of the detergent you are using as it should not affect the fibers of the rug. Wash the rug for 10 minutes and let it sit inside for 20 more minutes. Rinse out the extra water from the fiber. Dry it under the sun.
